My name is Paulo Morales, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the California State Assembly in District 67. Our community deserves a representative who listens, leads with common sense, and brings a balanced and pragmatic approach to the Legislature. The challenges we face require steady leadership and a commitment to practical solutions.
I was raised in a hardworking family that taught me the value of education, responsibility, and service. Those lessons guided me through school, my involvement with youth programs, and my career in public safety. Serving others has always been a core part of my life, and I am stepping forward because our state needs leaders who put people ahead of politics.
Years in law enforcement and local government taught me that good policy starts with listening. The most effective ideas come from residents, teachers, business owners, and community leaders, not from the partisan agendas that too often drive decisions in Sacramento. My focus is on restoring a practical and collaborative voice to the Assembly.
Affordability is one of the greatest concerns for families across our district. Costs continue to rise, and the state faces an eighteen billion dollar budget shortfall. We must reevaluate how the government spends money and stop funding programs that do not deliver results. I will work to lower burdensome taxes and fees, reduce wasteful spending, and support efforts that make life more affordable for working families.
Addressing affordability also means giving local communities the ability to grow responsibly. Cities need the flexibility and tools to meet their development goals, and state mandates will not succeed without real support. I will work across the aisle to empower local governments and promote responsible development that helps families stay in the communities they love.
Education shaped my life, and I believe every child deserves access to a high-quality education. I will focus on fundamentals, real-world skills, and transparency so parents know what their children are learning. Families deserve meaningful choices, and schools should work closely with parents to help every student succeed.
My career in law enforcement reinforced how important trust and accountability are to public safety. I will work with experts, community members, and leaders from all political backgrounds to create balanced policies that reduce crime and keep neighborhoods safe.
This campaign is about bringing people together and delivering real results for the people of District 67. I am committed to thoughtful, balanced leadership that puts residents first and approaches every issue with practicality and respect. I look forward to earning your support and the opportunity to serve our community in the California State Assembly.
